.....happened over the course of a weekend. I love how it was done and dusted in 48 hours. A shift does not necessarily have to be slow, arduous and take forever. Or only occur when we’re faced with a significant event beyond our control.

We can be dealing with the kind of breakdown that makes it impossible to get out of bed and face life’s daily grind. Maybe we spend the day in our pj’s on the couch watching mind-numbing shows on Netflix. Or the anxiety of leaving our home and being in the company of others is too overwhelming. We’ve lost the desire to engage with others; we just want a hole to swallow us up. It takes a big effort to resurface. But we get there. Sometimes a switch can be flicked, and we see a pin prick of light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Oftentimes though it takes the help of others, including professionals, to get us moving toward our breakthrough.  It doesn’t matter what it takes, we just need it to happen.

Other breakdowns can be less dramatic – situations we find ourselves in requiring us to make decisions, act and change things up which leads to small breakthroughs.... shifts that lead to renewed happiness and harmony.

Over the years I’ve consulted with a few different practitioners and counsellors to help steer me in the direction of least resistance. Without a doubt my yoga and meditation practice has been immeasurable in helping keep me afloat when the seas have gotten choppy.  All of it – the talkfests, workshops and practices have gotten me from my various breakdowns to each new breakthrough. New lessons learnt. Continuing evolution, and a deeper understanding of myself. Believe me there’s lots to fathom!!

The latest shift was this weekend in Queenstown.  Nice place to feel the newest breakthrough!  I’ve been working online with Adrienne for a couple of months now and was keen to delve deeper with her, by way of her I AM Unique seminar. She has worked closely with John Demartini for years, helping facilitate his The Breakthrough Experiment. What I like about Adrienne’s approach to the work is the feminine energy she brings, her lived experience and the strategies she gently leads us towards.  The big shift was the 2nd days’ work - Change of Mind, Change of Heart. The Art of Growth.

I really had no idea what to expect or what I’d be working through. But I love how our subconscious knows what needs to be seen, felt and moved.  Besides the subconscious we worked with our conscious and unconscious awareness to ultimately move through to our superconscious state of Love and Light and tapping into our wise voice. There were many correlations to the knowledge I’ve gleaned from the yoga texts.

We identified our values, goal setting, and shone a light on what was holding us back. We peeled back sticky interactions and expectations of ourselves and others. The process shows how to realise the potential for Change. To transcend limitations. To embrace a more authentic and fulfilling existence. Yes!!

We worked on issues we’d had with an individual that had triggered a negative emotional response. I was the only one to choose a deceased person.... hmmm processing grief continues....

We all gained insights.

Our life is a constant transformational journey, illuminating a capacity for growth, adaption and resilience. There is always potential for change, leading to a more authentic and fulfilling existence.

Yes...to breakthroughs!!

Namaste,
