Why retreat...


One of my favourite things to do is go on retreat, or to lead a retreat.  To be immersed for a few days or even up to a week in a serene location, with like-minded new friends, moving on the mat and enjoying the local environs is my idea of bliss!

Retreats can be life changing!

While teaching on Great Barrier Island I facilitated women's weekend retreats.  

  • We moved on the mat morning (invigorating) and afternoon (restful).

  • We were nourished by beautiful, energising food.

  • We were challenged by self-inquiry.  

  • We were inspired to appreciate nature around us.

  • New connections were made.

The Barrier was a perfect place to combine another passion of mine with yoga....A yoga and tramping retreat!  I love getting off the beaten track, exploring new places and challenging myself in new ways.  

I'm currently exploring suitable retreat venues in Central Otago and look forward to sharing new experiences on and off the mat with you.
